The Valley Town

Dundas is a formerly independent town and now a constituent community in the city of Hamilton. Nicknamed the Valley Town because of its location at the bottom of the Niagara Escarpment on the western edge of Lake Ontario. Population has remained stable at about twenty thousand, largely because it hasn't annexed rural land from the protected Dundas Valley Conservation Area.

Dundas has many waterfalls — the most popular being Webster's Falls and Tew's Falls, both accessible by the Bruce Trail. The famous Dundas Peak overlooks the valley from the Bruce Trail in Flamborough, drawing hikers from across Ontario.
An artistic community with deep historical roots, Dundas offers small-town charm, excellent hiking, and a thriving arts scene just minutes from downtown Hamilton.
